A few years ago Marie-Jeanne Hövell to Westerflier surprised lovers of the timeless art of photography with her “ msterdam in Winter” book. She remained in the old city of Amsterdam and now presents “Hidden Beauty, the houses Van Brienen, Van Loon and Willet-Holthuysen”.

In this monumental canal houses she has been wandering around many, many days capturing beautiful places and spaces, in full grandeur and detail, with her analog Hasselblad camera. She managed to capture the special atmosphere of the museum houses, full of beauty, an atmosphere of tranquility and solidified time. Five authors have been inspired by this work and wrote an essay about it.
