For many years, Paul Huf (1924 – 2002) was the best well known Dutch photographer. He started in 1946 and soon went on making portraits, advertising campaigns and glossy fashion shoots. His portraits of Queen Juliana and Prince Bernhard in the 1950’s made him popular and many celebrity wanted to be photographed by him. Most people though knew him thanks to the long running advertising campaign of Dutch beer brand Grolsch (‘Vakmanschap is Meesterschap’). Paul Huf has made several books and his work has been exhibited many times.
