Eduard Planting Gallery | Fine Art Photographs specializes in selling and buying photographs by (inter) nationally well-known artists. Besides that, we regularly give attention to upcoming talent. In our opinion this creates an interesting mix and contrast between famous and unknown photographers. That same tense mix applies to the different styles and periods the photographs descends from, to the different materials used (from gelatin silver print to cibachrome) and the manner of framing (from classic black ebony to eye-catching epoxy on dibond/diasec). This mixture ensures that for every budget and for every interior an appropriate artwork can be found, for individual collectors as well as for collecting companies.
Eduard bought his first art object at an auction when he was 16 years old and he has continued to do so ever since. Initially solely as a collector, but nowadays as an art dealer as well. He studied law and art history and during his business career he became more and more interested in art, especially in photographs. Next to his passion as an art dealer, Eduard also is head curator for the Foto Festival Naarden (the oldest photo festival in The Netherlands) and external curator of the art collection of a well-known Dutch insurance company.

Lea van Kessel & Judith Couvée both work part time at the gallery. Lea is studying at The Reinwardt Academy of Cultural Heritage, a faculty of the Amsterdam School of the Arts. Judith studies Art History at the University of Amsterdam. They're very much interested in photography. Working at the gallery brings them in contact with photographers and clients and this gives them a great opportunity of bringing theory into practise.
The gallery is admitted to offer the:
⇒ KunstKoop Regeling as well as the
⇒ Nationale Kunst Koop Regeling.
The “KunstKoop Regeling” is an initiative of the independant Mondriaan Foundation (only about 135 galleries are admitted to this arrangement).
“Nationale Kunst Koop” is an initiative of a collective of Dutch galleries. Both make it possible for clients to buy art by means of an interest free loan.
This arrangement is free of costs and interest for the consumer. The only thing you have to do is to pay the monthly term in a maximum of 36 months. Buying art is as easy as that!
Next to this we're also a member of the 'Nederlandse Galerie Associatie' (the Dutch Gallery Association).
